Change the Way You Work
Almost every aspect of the modern world relies on electronic products, including the medical, industrial, and consumer markets. Each of these products contains one or more printed circuit boards (PCBs), which can range in area from a few square inches to a square foot or more. Depending on the market and the application, a product’s production run may range from a few thousand boards to tens of millions of boards.
Unfortunately, traditional PCB fabrication and assembly (PCBA) processes and flows fail to meet the needs of design houses, product developers, and hardware engineers. The solution is to take advantage of the latest advances in manufacturing. This paper first discusses the challenges associated with existing PCBA processes, and then introduces the current state-of-the-art with respect to smart PCBA flows.
