The Harmonized Commodity Description and Coding System (Harmonized System, or HS) is an internationally standardized system of names and numbers to classify traded products. HS code are used by Customs authorities, statistical agencies, and other government regulatory bodies, to monitor and control the import and export of commodities through their international borders.

Harmonized Tariff Codes are required to ship a product internationally.  An international fulfillment order containing a product without a specified harmonized tariff code cannot be shipped.

The United States International Trade Commission provides an online search tool that can be used to discover the appropriate Tariff Code for your products.  If you experience trouble finding an appropriate code for your product, feel free to contact our support team.
